MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming women’s hockey student-athletes Jessica Ujcik (Munich, Germany) and Karoline Arvik (Trondheim, Norway) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 4.
On Saturday, she posted her 9th shootout of the season behind 22 stops in net for the Mustangs in win over Nichols.
In Sunday’s title game, Arvik collected a total 35 saves, including eight alone in the overtime period. Her efforts lauded her Most Valuable Player accolades of the tournament.
Morrisville State will travel to Norwich University for the quarterfinal round of the NCAA tournament, Saturday, March 10.
