Leva named Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Scholar of Distinction  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) office announced its 2017 Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction, naming Morrisville State's Elizabeth Leva (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) to the list of elite student-athletes.

A total 242 student-athletes representing 105 institutions were selected for the honor after earning a GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year.

Aside from her success in the classroom, Leva completed her final season with the Mustangs as the 2017 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Offensive Player of the Year, earning first team All-Conference accolades, following her 11 goals for 22 points this season. Leva scored in nine of the team's games.

The senior earned her degree in horticulture business management from Morrisville State in December. She is the daughter of Marchell and Charlie Leva of Hoosick Falls.
