Arvik, Johnson tabbed Mustang Athletes of the Week  

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming goaltenders Karoline Arvik (Trondheim, Norway) and Jorgen Johnson (Waterford, MI) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25.

Arvik collected a shut out win in net over Buffalo State on Saturday for the women's hockey team, posting a total 17 saves, backstopping the Mustangs who held the visiting Bengals to single digits in shooting each period.

The sophomore began the week with a 20 save performance against Hamilton in the 2-1 loss, before wrapping up the week with a total 37 saves for a .948 save percentage across two games.

Arvik has posted a 6-3-1 overall record in net to date on the season, behind a .927 save percentage and 1.43 goals against average.

Johnson, freshman net minder for the men's team, collected 26 saves in the 4-1 victory over Chatham, his second win of the season.

The freshman posted a .963 save percentage across three periods in the contest, allowing a single score early in the third, while collecting double digit stops in each of the second and final frames.

Johnson has collected 243 saves in seven starts for the Mustangs to date on the season.
