MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming junior Chelsea McNeal (Ithaca, N.Y.) and senior Nick Geswaldo (Lafayette, N.Y.) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 10.
McNeal collected five points in an 18-0 onslaught win over Elmira last Friday, scoring twice and assisting three others. She added four ground ball pickups and two caused turnovers to her tallies as Morrisville State dominated the Eagles in their home opener.
Geswaldo paced Morrisville State in a 16-14 season opening loss to Oswego, netting a combined seven points behind five goals and two assists in the non-conference battle.
All five of his tallies came in the final quarter of play, one on an extra man, as Morrisville State battled back from a four goal deficit.
