Morrisville State reserve high point team at own show Saturday

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team was just one point shy of Skidmore College on Saturday at their own show, collecting reserve high point team honors as they posted 44 team points and collected eight class wins at the riding arena on Fearon Road in Morrisville.

Skidmore was high point team for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event in Morrisville, posting 45 team points on the day.

Morgan Wilsberg (Mattituck, N.Y.) started the day with a winning ride in the open equitation over fences class for the Mustangs, before rider Marcus Livermore (Syracuse, N.Y.) posted a first place ride in the novice equitation over fences class.

Sarah Simmons (East Northport, N.Y.) claimed the blue ribbon in the intermediate over fences class, and rode to the top of the field in the intermediate on the flat class.

Olivia Fam (Southborough, Mass.) was the winner in the novice equitation on the flat class for the Mustangs, before the riding duo of Taylor Armstrong (Oneida, N.Y.) and Ben Callahan (Methuen, Mass.) posted first place finishes in the advanced walk trot canter class.

Brittney Dorman (Granville, N.Y.) claimed the blue ribbon in the walk trot class to round out top place winners for Morrisville State.
