Morrisville State hunt seat reserve high point team at Skidmore

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team rode to a reserve high point team finish at the Skidmore IHSA Show on Saturday, compiling 43 team points.

Skidmore was high point team for the show, earning 47.

Morrisville State rode to 10 first place finishes over the course of the day, including a double win by Marcus Livermore (Syracuse, N.Y.) who collected reserve high point rider honors behind his blue ribbon rides in the novice equitation over fences and novice flat classes.

Morgan Wilsberg (Mattituck, N.Y.) took home the win in the open equitation on the flat class for the Mustangs, while teammates Katie Newman (Manlius, N.Y.) and Casey Warren (Cranston, RI) each placed first in their novice equitation over fences section.

Olivia Fam (Southborough, Mass.) collected the blue ribbon in the novice equitation on the flat class.

Morrisville State had four riders each post top rides in their section of the advanced walk trot canter class, including Ben Callahan (Methuen, Mass.), Alexis Stasinos (Peabody, Mass.), Shannon O'Brien-Goode (Liverpool, N.Y.) and Jacqueline Fake (Dolgeville, N.Y.).

Morrisville State returns to the riding arena in February, opening the remainder of the show season on the 18th at Skidmore.
