Livermore advances to IHSA National Championships  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Sophomore Marcus Livermore (Syracuse, N.Y. / Henninger HS) will be one of two riders representing Morrisville State College's hunt seat equestrian team at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championships held in May, finishing second overall in two classes on Sunday at the Zone 2 Championships held in Leonia, New Jersey.

Livermore claimed second in the novice equitation over fences and novice equitation on the flat class to advance to the national finals to be held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, beginning Thursday, May 3rd.

Morrisville State alum, David Sookey III, will also be representing the Mustangs, placing second overall in the alumni equitation on the flat class.

Livermore and Sookey are the first to represent Morrisville State on the national stage since the Spring 2014 season.

Nationals will run May 3rd through May 6th at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. Additional information can be found on the IHSA website at www.ihsainc.com.
