MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State hunt seat equestrian riding team collected reserve high point team accolades at the Mustangs home show on Saturday, March 2nd, with five different riders recording winning rides.

THE BASICS:

  • Team Scores: Skidmore 49, Morrisville 34, Colgate 29, Cobleskill 28, RPI 27, Oneonta 24, Keuka 19, Hartwick 14, Siena 10, Albany 3
  • Location: Morrisville State Fearon Road Riding Arena, Morrisville, N.Y.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Five different riders posted winning rides Saturday, contributing to the team's reserve high point team accolades for the Morrisville State IHSA show.
  • Christine Kevan (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was the victor in the novice equitation on the flat class, with fellow teammate Kaitlin Renschen (Macguire, Pa.) also posting a blue ribbon winning ride in her novice section on the flat.
  • Hannah Guindon (Wellsboro, Pa.) and Jayci Mieczkowski (Averill Park, N.Y.) took home the win in the advanced walk trot canter class.
  • Bethany Carlson (Chatham, Mich.) posted her first collegiate blue ribbon in the walk trot canter class.

WHAT'S NEXT:

  • Morrisville State will have one final road show at Hartwick College on Saturday, March 9 before competing at the Regional Championships on the 30th at Skidmore.
