Morrisville State announces 2018 football schedule  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State released its 2018 football schedule, which includes a balanced slate of five home and five away contests.

The Mustangs kick-off their sixth season under the direction of head coach Curt Fitzpatrick (23-28 overall, five seasons) Saturday, September 1st on the road at Norwich University on Drake Field in a non-conference battle in the program's second meeting in as many years. Morrisville State holds the 1-0 series edge over the Cadets after opening the 2017 slate a year ago with a 34-20 victory on Drake Field.

Morrisville State will have a second straight road game the following week, traveling to Hobart College for the program's first ever meeting with the Statesmen on Saturday the 8th.

Following a bye week in the third week of the season, Morrisville State will open the home schedule with a non-conference outing against St. Lawrence University under the lights in a Friday night battle on Drake Field on the 21st.

The Mustangs wrap up September with an Empire 8 opener against Alfred University on the 29th for the college's "Mustang Weekend" (homecoming) contest.

Morrisville State opens October with a road battle at Cortland State on the 6th, before returning home to face nearby Utica College on the 13th for a noon conference bout.

The Mustangs head west to St. John Fisher College on the 20th, and hit the road for a second straight week to close out the month at Buffalo State on the 27th.

Morrisville State will close out the regular season with two home contests against conference competition, welcoming the Hartwick Hawks to the Mustang Valley on the 3rd, before wrapping up the E8 schedule with a battle with defending conference champion Brockport on the 10th.
