Two Late Goals Push Brockport Past Mustang Field Hockey

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Field Hockey team dropped their final SUNYAC contest of 2016 by a score of 2-0 at Brockport State on Friday afternoon.

The Mustangs' defense was pressured for most of the game as the host Golden Eagles outshot Morrisville 19-2 in the game.  Morrisville stayed strong holding Brockport scoreless until the 63rd minute of play.

After an initial save by freshman keeper, Meredith Koziol (Waterford, N.Y.), Brockport's Paula Amo took the deflection and found the back of the cage for the 1-0 lead.  Four minutes later, the Golden Eagles tacked on an insurance goal when Ryenn Sanger passed across the crease to Margo Tremaine who beat Koziol for the team's second goal.

The Mustangs return to the field on Sunday when they travel to Wilson College for a 12 PM game in their final road contest of the season.  Morrisville will wrap up their season at home on Wednesday with a 5 PM game against Nazareth.  The final game of 2016 will also be a charity game for the Mustangs as individual players are raising money for a variety of organizations.  In addition, the team will be honoring their lone senior, Katrina Kilmer (Walton, N.Y.).
