Mustangs Bested by Geneseo in SUNYAC Contest

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Field Hockey team could not overcome a strong first half by the Knights, ultimately falling 7-0 in a State Universities of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) matchup on Friday afternoon.

Geneseo controlled the action early on, scoring just after the five minute mark.  The Knights would then go on to score three more times in the first half as they outshot the Mustangs 13-1.

Morrisville kept the game at just the four goal deficit for twenty minutes into the second half, but the Knights proved to be too much, scoring three times over the last fifteen minutes of play to cap off the 7-0 win.

The Mustangs continue their SUNYAC slate on Wednesday on the road at Oneonta before returning home to take on Brockport on Saturday, October 14.  Both games are 5 PM starts.
