Dueber named NEAC Defensive Player of the Week  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office announced its weekly accolades Tuesday, naming Morrisville State freshman goalkeeper, Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) the Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 2.

Dueber posted a combined 38 saves in the opening weekend of play for the Mustangs. Despite suffering two losses, the rookie goalie made 19 stops in each contest, finishing the weekend with a .776 save percentage while playing the full 140 minutes.

She also turned away a number of significant stops in her first two collegiate games.

The freshman is a graduate of Owego Free Academy and is majoring in journalism and communication for online media at SUNY Morrisville.
