Fischetti named NEAC Player of the Week  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office announced its weekly award winners Tuesday, naming Morrisville State junior midfielder Brianna Fischetti (Wading River, N.Y.) the Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 9.

Fischetti led Morrisville State to a 12-1 win over Lancaster Bible in the NEAC opener, netting three goals and assisting another for seven points in the outing.

The junior posted the first tally 8:39 into the contest, collecting a rebound to slap into the right side of the cage. Minutes later she followed with her second of the day with a sweep shot, and added an assist on another Mustangs next score.

Fischetti wrapped up the day with a third goal late in the contest, posting a collegiate best outing in goals (3) and points (7).

The graduate of Shoreham Wading River High is majoring in early childhood education at SUNY Morrisville. She is the daughter of Linda and Joe Fischetti of Wading River.
