Weekly honors continue for Dennis, who gets nod on D3hoops.com National Team of the Week  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – D3hoops.com announced its weekly honor roll Tuesday, as presented by Scoutware, recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week for its National Team of the Week, and selected Morrisville State junior forward Kevin Dennis (Bronx, N.Y.) as one of this week's honorees.

Dennis, who was acknowledged by the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office as its Player of the Week Monday, led Morrisville State during the week of Nov. 26 – Dec. 2, averaging 30.5 points and 21.5 rebounds per game while shooting a collective total 61.3% from the floor and 85% from the free throw line.

He began the week with a 26 point, 11 rebound effort against No. 12 Middlebury and followed up with a career high 35 points and 32 rebounds in the double overtime win against SUNY Poly.

His 32 rebound effort against SUNY Poly is the most across the NCAA in a single game to date this season.

To date, Dennis leads the NEAC in rebounds per game (15.8), is second in scoring (22.8 ppg), ranks seventh in free throw percentage (81.8) and is eighth in field goal percentage (57.5).

Within Division III the junior is tied for second overall in double-doubles (5), third in rebounds per game, fourth in total rebounds (95), second in defensive rebounds per game (11.67) and tied for 28th in scoring.

The Harry S. Truman graduate is majoring in criminal justice at SUNY Morrisville. Dennis is the son of Monique Davis of the Bronx.
