MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State men's basketball team closed out the first half of the 2018 season Saturday afternoon, withstanding a fierce SUNY Delhi squad by a 94-88 final score on the Mustangs home court in Morrisville. The Mustangs wrap up the first semester action with a 6-3 overall record as they head into the Christmas break.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- SUNY Delhi closed the gap to as little as three late in the second half, but the host Mustangs were able to maintain the advantage as they secured the win behind four straight free throws from senior Kyle Peck (Oneida, N.Y.).
- Peck finished with nine points to add to the win, assisting three.
- Kevin Dennis (Bronx, N.Y.) led all scorers with 31 points on the afternoon, collecting the double-double behind a home court high 19 rebounds.
- Three additional teammates notched double digits: Lamel Faison (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 17 with the near double-double as he threw out nine assists; Jaylin Montalvo (Hempstead, N.Y.) with 13, adding eight rebounds and three steals; with Tyrin Miller (White Plains, N.Y.) rounding out the leaderboard with 11 points and three assists.
- Morrisville State held the 50-40 advantage on the glass, 17-13 on the offensive boards, while dominating the paint outscoring the Broncos 44-30.
- A majority of the Broncos scoring came in their play off the bench, as a total four SUNY Delhi players contributed double-figures to starter William Knight's 12 point effort.
- Justin Daoud posted 18 and dis rebounds, while Carlos Ithier added 15. Norman Wilson had 14 and Payton Dean added 10.

- Morrisville State will resume action following the semester break on January 5 as they host SUNY Geneseo.
