MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State junior Kevin Dennis (Bronx, N.Y.) has added yet another accolade to his ever growing list of honors as the NCAA released its season statistical champions, naming the forward the National Stats Champion for finishing atop all of Division III in double-doubles throughout the 2018-19 basketball season.

Dennis recorded 24 double-doubles in points and rebounds throughout the year in 28 games for the Mustangs, leading all of Division III, while ranking tied for second across all divisions after averaging 20.9 points and 14.4 rebounds per game on the year.

"I am very happy for Kevin that he is being recognized for leading the nation in double-doubles," said head coach Joe Smith.

"Kevin's efforts are invaluable to our team both offensively and defensively. He is a force to be reckoned with on the boards and in the paint."

"His play has been a driving force for our team's successes in the past three years, and I am very fortunate to be able to coach him."

The junior also finds his name leading the NCAA in total rebounds, amassing 404 total on the year, while ranking second overall in the division in rebounds per game with 14.4.

Dennis is no stranger to the leading ranks for men's basketball at Morrisville State. Aside from posting his best collegiate season to date, the junior also holds several top 10 rankings within the Mustang season and career record books, including claiming the overall leading spot as the all-time scoring leader in program history.
