Morrisville State golfers take second at Keuka Invite

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. –

The Morrisville State College men's golf team finished with 335 total strokes, claiming second overall at the Keuka College Fall Invitational held at the Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan.

Elmira College won the invitational, finishing 28 strokes ahead of the Mustangs on the 72-par, 6,549 yard course.

Darren Young (Woodstock, ON) shot a +6 to lead Morrisville State, finishing fourth overall on the day, while teammate Marc-Antoine Chaput (Mascouche, QC) was ninth overall with a course score of 85.

Alex Petroff (Cazenovia, N.Y.), Brandon Davis (Fayetteville, N.Y.) and Zac McMichael (Bancroft, ON) each shot a 86 on the day, tying for 10th in individual competition.

Cazenovia had 363 strokes to place third, and Keuka 391 to round out competition in fourth.

Morrisville State hits the fairways tomorrow at the Hamilton College Fall Invitational.
