Men’s Golf turns in fourth place finish at Elmira Invitational

ELMIRA, N.Y. – Junior Brandon Davis (Fayetteville, N.Y.) finished fourth overall in individual standings Tuesday afternoon to lead the Morrisville State College men's golf team to a fourth place team finish at the Elmira College Spring Invitational in Elmira.

Davis posted a score of 84 on the day for the Mustangs.

Morrisville State compiled a team score of 373 strokes on the par-72, 6.687 yard course, placing two in the top six in individual scoring.

Jesse Pflaumer (Elba, N.Y.) finished in sixth place overall, with a score of 88, while teammate Cody Holmes (Fort Ann, N.Y.) compiled a score of 97 strokes to finish 21st.

Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) rounded out Mustang scoring with a 25th place finish, shooting 104 on the day.

Morrisville State returns to the greens for their final match of the season Friday at the SUNY Cobleskill Spring Invitational in Cobleskill.
