Morrisville State places three in top 10 at Cobleskill Golf Spring Invitational; Mustangs finish second

COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's golf team wrapped up their 2015-16 season Friday afternoon at the SUNY Cobleskill Spring Invitational, placing three in the top 10 as they finished second overall in team standings with a score of 318 strokes.

Brandon Davis (Fayetteville, N.Y.) and Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) tied for third, each posting scores of 76 on the par-70, 6,163 Country Club Course.

Darren Young (Woodstock, Ontario) placed sixth in individual standings shooting a +9 on the day, while Marc-Antoine Chaput (Mascouche, Quebec) shot an 87, +17 par.

Cody Holmes (Fort Ann, N.Y.) finished with a score of 92 strokes to round out team scoring for the Mustangs.

SUNY Cobleskill won the event, compiling a team score of 307 strokes as golfer Ian Wilson was the invitational individual medalist, shooting +3.
