Morrisville State golf places fourth at the SUNY Cobleskill Jug Classic   

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's golf team opened the 2017-18 playing season Friday, placing fourth overall in team standings at the SUNY Cobleskill Jug Classic held at the Cobleskill Country Club.

Morrisville State finished with a combined team score of 369 strokes, +89 par.

Senior Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) led the Mustangs with a score of 84 on the par-70, 6,163 yard course, to finish tied for ninth overall in individual standings.

Brad Hefner (Billings, Mt.) shot a 92 on the day to finish tied for 20th, while teammate Jesse Pflaumer (Elma, N.Y.) finished tied for 23rd with a score of 94.

Dane Moore (Cadillac, Mich.) rounded out the team scoring with a shot total of 99.

Morrisville State returns to the courses Wednesday, September 13th, traveling to Keuka College for the Fall Invitational.
