Morrisville State golf wraps up season with second place finish at Cobleskill Spring Invite  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's golf team wrapped up the 2018 spring season Friday at the SUNY Cobleskill Spring Invitational, as hosted by SUNY Cobleskill, with a second place finish among five teams, after recording a match total 324 strokes.

Morrisville State's Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) finished the contest tied for individual medalist, but in the play-off for the tournament award, fell behind by two strokes to finish third overall with a final score of 77, +7 on the par-70, 6,361 yard course at the Cobleskill Golf and Country Club.

Brad Hefner (Billings, Mt.) and Ryan McCann (Hamilton, N.Y.) each finished tied for fifth place, recording an 18-hole score of 79, while Nick DeVito (Averill Park, N.Y.) rounded out Mustang scoring with a final tally of 89 to finish 15th overall.
