Morrisville State skates to 4-4 draw with Buffalo State
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Visiting Morrisville State College (0-2-1) men's ice hockey played to a four goal draw Friday night with host SUNY Buffalo State (1-1-1, 1-1-1 conference) in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action in Buffalo.

The Mustangs struck first with a goal from John Doyle (New Lowell, Ontario) assisted by Dario Trupina (Viserum, Sweden) for the only goal of the first period from either team.

Buffalo State got on the board off a power play to tie the game early in the second period. The Mustangs then scored three goals in a row. Joseph Santino (Woodbridge, Ontario) scored in the 12th minute and was assisted by Doyle, Alex Huizenga (Grand Rapids, MI). The next goal was less than a minute later, scored by Steve Dol (Ingersoll, Ontario), and assisted by Zach Bayer (Glendale, AZ) and Zach Baker (Denver, CO). The third goal for the Mustangs was Santino's second goal of the net, and was assisted Trupina and Tyson Avery (Monkton, Ontario). Buffalo State scored late at the end of the period to make the score 4-2 Morrisville.

For the third period, the Bengals outscored the Mustangs 2-0 to tie the score and send the game into overtime. Morrisville State outshot Buffalo 41-31

Steven Dombrosky (Elizabethtown, PA) recorded 27 saves for the game.

Morrisville State returns to the ice today at 7 p.m. for a rematch against Buffalo State.
