MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State men's lacrosse team advanced to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Tournament for an eighth time in program history after edging Cazenovia 13-12 Wednesday afternoon, and will be facing off against third seeded SUNY Poly on Saturday, May 4th at 5 p.m. on Drake Field in Morrisville for the tournament title and conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.

The Mustangs earned the overall top seed in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship tournament after finishing the regular conference season with an undefeated 7-0 record.

On Wednesday, Morrisville State fought back from a four-goal deficit in the second half to top the Wildcats for good in the final quarter of action and hang on for the lead.

SUNY Poly advanced to the NEAC finals after stunning second seeded Keuka College with a 13-12 decision Wednesday evening on the Wolves home turf.

Face-off for the contest is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start on Drake Field in Morrisville. The final, though, will follow the NEAC Women's Lacrosse Semifinals, also set to be played in Morrisville.

Fans will be able to follow the action live through live stats and video, with links posted on the college's athletic web site at www.morrisvillestateathletics.com.

For those attending the event, parking will be available in the lot behind the stadium facility. Tickets for the contest are available at the gate 30 minutes prior to the opening face-off.

Admission is $4 per adult, $2 per student and children 12 and under are admitted free. Visitors are asked to abide by the college's tailgating policy, located under visitor information on the athletic web site.

Morrisville State will meet SUNY Poly for a second time this season, facing-off for the first time of the year back on April 3 where the Mustangs posted a 12-10 victory over the Wildcats in Marcy.

In that contest, the Mustangs trailed 5-4 at the half before posting seven unanswered goals in the third quarter to claim an 11-7 lead heading into the final frame where they held on for the win.

The high powered offense enters the contest with a league leading 18.57 goals per game average against conference opponents, also ranking in the top two in the NEAC in defense with their 7.57 goals against average.

The four-time defending champions enter the final round on an eight game win streak, and will look to capture their fifth straight tournament title to earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

Poly is riding a four game win streak into the title game, making their first appearance in the championship final.
