Morrisville State men claim top seed in North Division, face SUNY Poly Tuesday in NEAC Quarterfinals   

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's soccer team finished the 2017 regular season with a 4-1-1 North Division North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) record, earning a number one seed in the North Division for the conference tournament, set to begin Tuesday.

The Mustangs will take on cross town rival SUNY Polytechnic who finished fourth in the North Division standings with a 3-3-0 record, Tuesday on Drake Field on the Morrisville State College campus. Game time is scheduled for a 2 p.m. quarterfinal start.

Morrisville State defeated SUNY Poly on the road this past Wednesday in the regular season finale, 2-0.

Keuka College earned the second spot, finishing 4-1-1 as well, but Morrisville State got the top nod defeating the Wolves early on in the season, 4-2. They take on third seed Penn College Tuesday.

Penn St. Abington claimed the overall regular season title, finishing the South Division campaign with an undefeated 6-0-0 record, and will face Wilson College who earned the fourth seed in the south with a 3-3-0 stint.

Penn St. Berks and Lancaster Bible College will square off Tuesday as well, after earning the second and third seeds, respectively.

All teams will be reseeded after the quarterfinal round and announced by the conference office late Tuesday.
