Evans leads Morrisville State men at 8K Hamilton Invite   

 

CLINTON, N.Y. –  Sophomore Isaiah Evans (Cazenovia, N.Y.) was first to cross the finish line for the Mustangs Saturday morning, as he led Morrisville State to a 11th place team finish at the Hamilton College 8K invitational held in Clinton at the golf course.

Evans finished 38th individually with a time of 29:40.2 to pace the Mustangs, before senior Mason Craine (Red Creek, N.Y.) added to the Morrisville State scoring with his 46th place finish in 30:33.4.

Jim O'Connell (Skaneateles, N.Y.) was third to cross for the Mustangs, finishing in 33:38.9, an individual 67th place finish, just before Owen Braun (Fulton, N.Y.) completed the course in 35:27.9.

Na'Im Williams (East Orange, N.J.) rounded out Morrisville State scoring with a time of 38:08.8, posting 81 points in the field of 120 runners.

The hosts claimed the team invitational win, placing all five runners in the top 10 of the field.

Morrisville State will be on the road at the CCOC Championships next Saturday in Geneva.
