MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Morrisville State softball team dropped two contests Thursday afternoon on their third day of spring training in Myrtle Beach, S.C., falling to Immaculata 11-0 and Mt. Aloysius 13-0, both in 5 innings.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Emily Vesely (Johnson City, NY) led the way for the Mustangs, combining for three hits on four at-bats on the afternoon. The junior catcher recorded a double in game one versus Immaculata, and posted two singles versus Mt. Aloysius in game two.
  • Chyne Kennedy (Southwold, Ontario) recorded the loss in the first of the day's action. The sophomore pitcher threw 2.2 innings, allowing four earned runs on eleven hits, while striking out two batters.
  • Kennedy recorded three strikeouts in the loss on the mound in game two versus Mt. Aloysius, while allowing two earned runs on six hits. Freshman Kellina Murphy (Yonkers, NY) relieved Kennedy for the final three innings, posting one strikeout and four earned runs.

 

WHAT'S NEXT

Morrisville State will play their last two games of spring training at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex on Friday, taking on Iowa Wesleyan at 11:30am, followed by Clarks Summit at 3:30pm.
