MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State women's basketball team concluded the first half of the season action Saturday afternoon with a loss, falling 77-67 to visiting Utica College on the Mustangs home court in Morrisville. Junior Tori Rockefeller (South Kortright, N.Y.) led the Mustangs effort with 23 points, hitting four from beyond the arc.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Junior Tori Rockefeller (South Kortright, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with 23 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor that included four from long range, while adding four rebounds and three assists to her tallies in the effort.
- Sophomore point guard Alexis Campbell (Buffalo, N.Y.) added 17 points, dishing out three assists, while sophomore A-Laya Wright (Henrietta, N.Y.) had a near double-double with nine points and eight rebounds. Wright hit 3-of-7 from beyond the arc, and added three assists to go along with three steals to her efforts.
- Morrisville State got an eight point contribution off the bench from Anna Raymond (Newark, N.Y.), who put in a solid 25 minutes for the Mustangs at guard.
- The Mustangs struggled defensively with play in the paint as Sydney Przygoda led Utica with 27 points, adding 16 rebounds for the double-double, and contributing to the 47-31 Pioneer advantage on the glass for the contest.
- Brianna Florian and Petrina DeMarco also collected double figures for the visitors, adding 12 and 10 points, respectively.
- Utica shot 44.9% from the floor for the contest and held Morrisville State to just 37% while forcing the hosts to go scoreless for the opening six minutes of the first quarter.
- Morrisville State trailed 67-46 entering the fourth quarter, before outscoring the Pioneers 21-10 in the final frame.

- Morrisville State will resume action following the semester break on January 7th as they travel to SUNY Canton for a non-league bout with the Roos.
