Liz Unger enters her third season as assistant coach with the Morrisville State College women’s basketball program. She is responsible for working with the guards on individual skill development, assisting with practice planning and preparation, game day strategies as well as recruiting.

Unger had a hand in coaching freshman point guard Jordan Anderson, who in 2013-14, took home the college's first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Rookie of the Year accolades and finished the season ranked in the top 10 among all of the NCAA Division III in steals.

Unger came to Morrisville State after her playing basketball for both The College at Brockport and Mohawk Valley Community College as a forward and guard. While at Mohawk Valley, she was named the team’s Most Valuable Player following her sophomore season.

Unger rewrote the Knights record book during her career at Hamilton High School, becoming the all-time leading scorer with 1,812 points.  She was named to the New York All-State Team and earned Center State Conference III League Most Valuable Player honors for three straight seasons, including first team accolades four straight years. 

Unger, a multi-sport star, earned All-Conference recognition in both soccer and softball and was named to the New York All-State team for softball.

Unger graduated from The College at Brockport with a bachelor of science degree in sport management with a minor in coaching in 2012.
