Hamilton women skate past Morrisville State 3-0

CLINTON, N.Y. – Host Hamilton College women's ice hockey collected a 3-0 non-conference win Tuesday night over visiting Morrisville State College, picking up their second win of the young season.

The Mustangs drop to 5-3-2 overall on the year, returning to the ice next Tuesday against Utica College.

Renee Schmaltz (Beaumont, AB) recorded the loss in net for Morrisville State, turning away a game total 27, including 11 in the final period.

Hamilton posted their first tally at the 8:20 mark in the first period on a power play, carrying the 1-0 advantage into the third where they added two additional scores. Hannah Bartlett extended the Continental lead to two with an unassisted tally seconds before the five minute mark, before sealing the win for the hosts with her second of the night at 12:06.

Sam Walther had 14 stops on the night for Hamilton in net, earning the win, as the Continentals held the 30-14 advantage in shots across all three periods.
