Women’s Ice Hockey Blanked by Wildcats, fall 4-0

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Women's Ice Hockey team's offense stalled out on Friday night as they were shut out 4-0 by the visiting Wildcats from Johnson & Wales University in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action.

The Mustangs pounded the Johnson & Wales net all night, outshooting the Wildcats 37-13.  However, the Wildcats' goal tender, Julia Aberg denied every shot.

While Morrisville could not find the back of the net, Johnson & Wales converted four of their thirteen shots into goals, three of which came in the second period.

With the win, Johnson & Wales improves to 4-7-0 in CHC competition.  The Mustangs fall to 7-4-0 and into a three-way tie with SUNY Canton and Stevenson University for the second place spot.

The Wildcats and Mustangs will return to the ice to cap off their CHC regular season tomorrow afternoon in Morrisville at 2 PM.
