Ujcik named Colonial Hockey Player of the Week  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) announced its players of the week for play through Sunday, November 11, naming Morrisville State women's hockey junior Jessica Ujcik (Munich, Germany) the Player of the Week for a second time this season.

Ujcik led Morrisville State to a sweep of Salve Regina as she contributed a total five points across the weekend. On Friday, the junior assisted two in the 7-1 victory over the Seahawks, before adding two goals and an assist in the 4-1 win Saturday afternoon.

Her first tally on Saturday tied the game at one in the second period, 14 seconds after Salve Regina posted the first score of the contest, and she added the assist on the third Mustang tally in that frame to send the hosts into the third with a 3-1 advantage.

She sealed the win for Morrisville to earn the sweep with her second goal of the game late in the third.

The junior is the daughter of Roman and Korinna Ujcik of Munich.
