BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Morrisville State women's lacrosse team scored four in the opening five minutes of the Sunday North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match-up against Medaille College in Buffalo, earning the 17-4 victory on the Mavericks home field as a trio of Mustangs combined for 15 scores.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Morrisville State raced out to a 6-0 lead before the hosts were able to get on the board Sunday afternoon with three tallies coming from senior Courtney Cavellier (Rodman, N.Y.) who paved the way for the visitors with a game total six.
- Cavellier also added eight draw controls, as the Mustangs outgained the Mavericks 12-9 in the center circle.
- Freshman Grace Hanehan (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) notched five tallies and fellow midfielder Melissa Lucciola (Monroe, N.Y.) added another four, as Chelsea McNeal (Ithaca, N.Y.) and Celia Abbott (Shortsville, N.Y.) each collected one to complete the goal scorers for the Mustangs in the contest.
- Medaille got on the board at the 22:08 mark of the first half on a free position tally, and added another after a Mustang tally at 21:21, but Morrisville State closed out the half with a 5-0 run to lead 12-2 at the break.
- The Mustangs picked up where they left off to start the second with back-to-back tallies from Cavellier and Hanehan, before Medaille was able to collect their final score of the contest at 21:21.
- Morrisville State closed out the contest with three additional tallies, earning the 17-3 conference win.
- Abbott picked up a team high five ground balls to lead the Mustangs to a 21-14 advantage in the battle on the ground.
- Kadi Bice (Lorraine, N.Y.) turned away seven Maverick attempts as the visitors outgained the hosts 43-12 in shots on the day, extending her record in net to 6-4 overall.

- Morrisville State carries a five game win streak into the non-conference bout with Buffalo State on Wednesday on Drake Field in Morrisville, before resuming conference action against Wells on Saturday.
