Bice named NEAC Defensive Player of the Week        

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office announced its weekly award winners in women's lacrosse Monday afternoon, selecting Morrisville State freshman goalkeeper, Kadi Bice (Lorraine, N.Y.) as the Defensive Player of the Week for action ending April 7.

Bice went 2-0 between the pipes for the Mustangs across weekend conference competition, collecting 12 total saves and a 1.80 goals against average as Morrisville State improved to 4-0 in NEAC play with wins over Hilbert and Medaille.

Bice opened the weekend with five stops, while not allowing a score in 40 minutes of play against Hilbert Saturday, before posting seven stops in a 17-3 decision against Medaille in a rematch of the conference final a year ago on Sunday afternoon.

Bice collected an 80% save percentage on the weekend in a total 100 minutes in net.

The freshman is a graduate of South Jefferson High and is majoring in business administration at SUNY Morrisville. She is the daughter of Annemarie and Jim Bice of Lorraine.
