MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host Morrisville State College women's soccer went on a three goal scoring frenzy over a five minute span, earning the 4-0 victory over visiting Bryn Athyn College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Sunday afternoon on Drake field in Morrisville.

The win lifts Morrisville State to 3-2 overall in conference play, 3-9 overall to date on the season. Bryn Athyn drops to 7-3-0 on the season, 3-2 in NEAC action.

Morrisville State had plenty of chances early on to put one on the board, but didn't capitalize until the 33rd minute when Shay Franklin (North Norwich, N.Y.) collected her first collegiate goal off the initial post shot by Elizabeth Brenchley (Cincinnatus, N.Y.) for the 1-0 Mustang lead at 32:12.

That score held throughout the remainder of the half, until a Jessica Adam (Avoca, N.Y.) goal at 47:46, a one-touch on the through ball sent forward by Madison Shoemaker (Caledonia, N.Y.), ignited a three goal scoring fury by the Mustangs.

Within minutes, Adam struck again for her second of the day, where she won the foot battle in the center of the box off the feed from fellow midfielder Kelly Brennan (Sauquoit, N.Y.).

A mere 42 second later, Morrisville State added to their lead as Brennan chipped the ball inside the left post for the 4-0 advantage. Michaela Fazio (Norwich, N.Y.) was credited with the assist.

Brianna Sorriento (Wynantskill, N.Y.) recorded the shutout win in net, making two saves.

Morrisville State returns to the field next Saturday, hosting Penn College at 2 p.m. on Drake Field.
