Poly nets comeback win over Morrisville State   

 

MARCY, N.Y. – The host SUNY Polytechnic women's soccer team posted a come-from-behind victory over visiting Morrisville State College Wednesday night, netting two second half scores in the 2-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory in Marcy.

The loss drops Morrisville State to 6-9-1 overall on the year, 6-3-1 within conference action.

Jessica Adam (Avoca, N.Y.) gave Morrisville State the 1-0 lead midway through the opening half, netting the easy score off a cross from the left from senior Kelly Brennan (Sauquoit, N.Y.).

SUNY Polytechnic wasn't able to break through the Mustang defense until the 54:01 mark when Adriana Marcolin had a step on the defense and received the through ball from Ashley O'Connor for an uncontested tally to even the contest at one.

Poly took the lead in the 77th minute with a Nakeya Stedman score, capturing the conference win.

Brianna Sorriento (Wynantskill, N.Y.) recorded four saves in the loss, appearing for 86 minutes of the contest. Brooke Terrier (Hubbardsville, N.Y.) appeared for 3:19 in net, allowing one score.

Morrisville State awaits tournament selection as announced by the conference office later this weekend.
