Morrisville State women to make program first appearance in the NEAC Tournament   

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College women's soccer team finished with a 3-2-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) North Division record, claiming the fourth seed in the division, and a program first post-season bid to the quarterfinal round.

They will head down the road to cross town rival SUNY Polytechnic, who claimed the top spot after finishing 5-0-1 in the North Division, Tuesday. Poly handed the Mustangs a come from behind defeat Wednesday to wrap up the regular season.

Keuka College claimed the second seed in the North with a 4-1-1 record and will take on third seed Penn College who finished 3-2-1. The Wildcats gained the third seed over the Mustangs, topping Keuka earlier in the season.

Penn St. Berks claimed the regular season title, and top seed in the South Division with an undefeated record, and will face fourth seed Penn St. Abington, who registered a 3-3-0 divisional record.

Lancaster Bible claimed the second spot in the South Division, defeating Bryn Athyn earlier in the season, and will face the Lions one more time as they earned the third seed with a 4-2-0 divisional stint.

The quarterfinal between the Mustangs and Wildcats is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. on the campus of SUNY Poly.

All teams will be reseeded after the quarterfinal round and announced by the conference office late Tuesday.
