COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Mustangs picked up a key North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win on the road Sunday afternoon, defeating the Fighting Tigers 4-1. Sophomore forward, Shay Franklin (North Norwich, NY) notched two goals on the afternoon, both in the first half, to lead Morrisville State on the offensive end. With the win, the Mustangs are 6-6 overall on the season, including a 5-2 NEAC record.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Franklin put the Mustangs up 1-0 in the 27' of play with an unassisted goal on a breakaway. Less than two minutes later, Franklin recorded her second score of the day off of a pass from junior midfielder, Madison Shoemaker (Caledonia, NY) at the 28:07 mark.
- The scoring didn't stop there for Morrisville State, as freshman forward, Angelina Rinaldi (Huntington Station, NY) came out of halftime firing on all cylinders. Rinaldi scored her fourth goal of the season off of a lead pass from freshman defender, Justine Quay (Galway, NY).
- Sophomore midfielder, Michaela Fazio (Norwich, NY) scored the final goal for the Mustangs at the 59:06 mark. Freshman defender, Zoe Costello (Kingston, NY) took a corner kick while Fazio cleaned up the play and connected with the back of net.
- Goaltenders, Brianna Sorriento (Wynantskill, NY) and Lydia Young (Cuyler, NY) split time in net for Morrisville State. Sorriento recorded 1 save in 65' of play, while Young finished the game in goal and registered 3 saves.
- Franklin has logged 7 goals on the season so far, and is currently in a three-way tie for 10th place in goals scored in the NEAC.
