Morrisville Volleyball Heads to Clarkson for NCAA Tourney

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Women's Volleyball team made history on Sunday afternoon, winning the program's first ever North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship defeating the Bison from Gallaudet University 3-1. 

The victory gives the Mustangs an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III National Tournament.  At 12:30 PM this afternoon, Morrisville found out their first round tournament destination.  

The NEAC Champions will face off with the Golden Knights from Clarkson University in the opening round on Friday, November 10 at 8 PM.  The Golden Knights were one of eight institutions selected by the NCAA to host a regional tournament. 

Joining the Mustangs at the Potsdam Regional are Stevens Institute of Technology, Vassar College, Ithaca College, Babson College, Endicott College, and Merchant Marine Academy.  

Before Morrisville and Clarkson take the court, Ithaca will take on Endicott at 12:30 PM.  That match will be followed by Stevens against Merchant Marine at 3 PM and Babson versus Vassar at 5:30 PM.  Winners of the opening round matches will move on to the region semi-final round on Saturday.  Match times are at 2:30 PM and 5 PM.  The regional final is set for Sunday at 1 PM.
