MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Volleyball team hosted picked up two big North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) wins on Saturday afternoon, defeating Gallaudet 3-1 and Lancaster Bible College 3-0. The two victories secure Morrisville's third straight appearance in the NEAC Tournament.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Mustangs and Bison went toe-to-toe in the first match, as Gallaudet forced Morrisville into 20 attack errors. However, the double digit kill totals from Megyan Merrill (Millport, N.Y.), Amelia Baratier (Liverpool, N.Y.) and Elycia Crittenden (Louisville, Ky.) gave the Mustangs an edge.
- Sam Wolf (Liverpool, N.Y.) kept several rallies alive for the Mustangs flying all over the court en route to 20 digs in the first match.
- Also key to the Mustangs first match win were 15 combined blocks, compared to just two from the Bison. Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) led the way picking up two solo blocks while assisting on three others.
- Morrisville used a strong hitting performance in the second match to down Lancaster Bible in straight sets.
- The Mustangs continued to ride the hot hand of Baratier and Merrill as they posted 13 and 12 kills respectively.
- Helena Hanes (Brockport, Pa.) and Kim Dunkleman (Williamsville, N.Y.) each picked up 18 assists as they orchestrated the team's offense.
- The two victories keep the Mustangs in sole possession of the top spot in the NEAC with one conference matchup remaining.

The Mustangs finish up regular season NEAC play with a 7 PM match at SUNY Cobleskill on Wednesday, October 24.
