Morrisville Volleyball Draws Carnegie Mellon in NCAA First Round

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The back-to-back North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Champions, waited with anticipation overnight to find out their first round draw and NCAA Regional location after defeating Lancaster Bible 3-0 in the championship match, earning the automatic qualifying bid into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. 

At 12:30 PM it was announced that the Mustangs drew a first round match against the Tartans from Carnegie Mellon University in the Ithaca Regional hosted by Ithaca College.  Morrisville and Carnegie Mellon will square off at 3 PM on Friday, November 9. 

Joining the Mustangs and Tartans in Ithaca is tournament host, Ithaca College, Nazareth College, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Stevenson University, Hunter College, and Southern Vermont College. 

Nazareth and RIT will kick off the regional quarterfinal round at 12:30 PM.  After the Mustangs and Tartans play at 3 PM, Stevenson will play Hunter at 5:30 PM.  The quarterfinal round will conclude with Ithaca against Southern Vermont.  The winners will move on to the semi-final round on Saturday with match times set for 2:30 and 5 PM.  The regional final is set for Sunday at 2 PM.
