Wade leads Morrisville State women at Hamilton 5K Invite   

 

CLINTON, N.Y. – Junior Raylene Wade (Red Creek, N.Y.) paced the Morrisville State pack with her top team finish, leading the visitors to seventh place overall at the Hamilton College 5K invitational Saturday in Clinton.

The junior captain finished the course with a time of 21:12.1, a 25th individual place finish, and was followed by freshman Tori Stopen (Marcellus, N.Y.) who crossed in 33rd scoring position with a time of 23:20.8.

Maria Miner (Liverpool, N.Y.) was third to score for Morrisville State, finishing in 24:02.2, scoring 39th, before sophomore Bailey Dillabough (Massena, N.Y.) crossed a mere 24 seconds later, a 42nd scoring place finish.

Zoe Bender (Chittenango, N.Y.) rounded out Mustang scoring with a time of 26:03.9, crossing in 48th overall.

Host Hamilton College were invite champions, placing all five runners in the top 11 among the field of 85 runners and nine teams.

Morrisville State will be on the road at the CCOC Championships next Saturday in Geneva.
