CLINTON, N.Y. – Senior Raylene Wade (Red Creek, N.Y.) finished in 8th, and freshman Tori Stopen (Marcellus, N.Y.) in 11th, to lead the Morrisville State College women's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Hamilton College short course invitational Saturday morning in Clinton.
The invite serves as a final tune-up for the Mustangs, who return to their home course next Saturday for the 2017 NEAC Championships.
Wade finished the 4K course with a time of 16:51.5, followed by Stopen with a time of 17:41.0. Maria Miner (Syracuse, N.Y.) finished in 18:18.9, 14th individually.
Zoe Bender (Chittenango, N.Y.), Anne Marie Marchese (Arlington, Vt.), and Maura Hager (Binghamton, N.Y.) each competed in the 3K race, finishing in 28th, 29th and 32nd, respectively.
The women's race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on the Morrisville State campus.
